Frequently Asked Questions

What do I bring?

We endeavour to provide all necessary gear, and recommend you pack light. A small day pack with personal essentials is ideal. Extra luggage can be accommodated if needed.

What should I wear?

We highly recommend wearing light, breathable clothing suited for the surrounding climate. Camping and outdoor stores can recommend the clothing type that is suitable for you.

Wearing comfortable, closed-toe footwear is a must. Hiking shoes and/or a pair of sneakers or joggers are recommended. We advise all clients to bring at least two pairs of shoes on tour.

How can I prepare for the tour?

Each of our tours involve walking between 3 and 5km per day. A moderate level of fitness is recommended, but we’ll adjust the tour to your needs and abilities.

What are the risk aspects of the tour?

Dehydration is the biggest risk, but we carry plenty of water and remind you to hydrate. Your safety is our first priority, so please follow all instructions.

Can children join the tour?

Yes. Children aged 10+ can join with a parent or guardian.

Can I film the experience?

Yes. This is a key part of the experience; the operator will take the responsibility of filming aspects of your journey into the wilderness. If you would like to film and take pictures of your experience this must be approved by the guide.
